What are the folders called that service technicians carry around that are hard plastic?

I thought they were called tough books, but I cant find anything but laptops that come up in those searches. Can someone help?

wireless laptop speakers.i had this new laptop with vista, which is ridiculous. i have been using old versions at my home and i get connected to wireless internet in no time. after getting this vista, it has become tough to me. it says connecting, it never connected, or it says limited connectivity, even the signal is strong.
i want to know if there are any solutions for it, or should i get some other applications to manage wireless (i dont know if it is available for free in internet). inputs will be much appreciated. thanks

My guess would be it is where you are, what type of building etc. or it could be related to security settings

we have had a hard time with our internet having vista too. that is the suckiest thing to ever have on a computer. but good luck with that. (vista makes me so angry.)

Vista wireless is transparent if you have an open system on the router end. If you right click on the Icon on the right side of the taskbar and select view available networks, there should be a list of what is in the area. Select yours and click on connect. If there is security set up on the router, it will open a menu and ask for the password. If it won’t get a signal and allow access, then it may be locked out by the settings. Go to Start.Control Panel/Networks and on the right side select Manage Network Connections. The installed devices will be displayed. You should only have one device active at one time. Right click the wireless device and select Properties. Double click on the TCP/IP4. In there, make sure both sections are set to automatic. OK out and should connect. The drivers for the wireless should be updated since there are several that have been released in the past few weeks. Some of the newer systems are very sensitive to interference from nearby units. May want to change your routers channel to a higher number to get away from others and set up security on it to avoid anyone from getting to your system and files.
